Stand Up Women 2

THANK YOU!

To all involved in this years Stand Up Women, thank you so much! The night was a huge success, not only did we sell out, but we raised over £2000 for Amnesty International!

Special thanks to the Comedians – Lara A King, Luisa Omeilan, Girl Band, Jo Romero, Harriet Kemsley and Emily Lloyd-Saini – the volunteers for making sure the night went off without a hitch and planning such an awesome event,  Amnesty International and the guys at Human Rights Action Centre for being great and supplying our materials, the great companies who provided raffle prizes, the Bedford, Ann Parisio for filming, Paul Regan for doing our sound, WeGotTickets,  and of course the audience for coming along, supporting us and being great sports!

Keep your eyes and ears open for details of our next event!

At what time does it start, and where can you get tickets?

      Hi Friederike,

Thanks for your interest in our event!

Tickets will be available shortly via this site, I’m just waiting on confirmation from WeGotTickets. The event starts at 8pm I believe, although we’re waiting for confirmation from the Bedford for how long we’ll have. I’ll update the site with details over the coming week.

Thanks again and look forward to seeing you there!

      Ellie

    Hello,

I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere – how much of the £10 + booking fee goes to Amnesty?

      Hi Fiona,

Thanks for your interest in our event! I probably should have included this on the site, thanks for pointing this out to me! We’re all volunteers doing this in our spare time so occasionally a point gets missed!

All profits from the £10 got to Amnesty International. We’ve got to cover the room hire of the hall, and the rest will go straight to supporting AI’s work. Because of the nature of online ticketing, not all the booking fee goes to Amnesty, but to the vendor. However, WeGotTickets have been generous (far more generous than the likes of JustGiving) and agreed to donate a 20% of the booking fee directly to AI. None of the volunteers organising the event, nor the comedians participating are getting paid in anyway. Hope this answers your questions and I hope you’ll come along and support us!

      Thanks,

      Ellie
